Women's Action Group
[unclear: Women's] Action Group
The Women's Action Group exists to [unclear: omote] action on women's rights on cam[unclear: as]. At university women make up only 40% of the total student population. This is a direct result of the sexual discrimination and conditioning which are predominent in New Zealand society. Groups such as ours are formed in order to win a fairer deal for women students, and women in general.
Our first task will be organising action on March 8, International Women's Day. Suggestions so far have been forums, films, group discussions: if you have any ideas or wish to be involved in these activities then come to our first meeting. All women welcome. For further information, contact Lamorna or Leonie at Studass.
Friday March 2, 12 noon. Lounge Student Union.
