Engl 313 : Modern Drama
Engl 313 : Modern Drama
Fourteen returns received out of a possible twenty seven. There was general satisfaction with the course, especially with the emphasis on tutorials. Recommendations :
1. | Playwrights more recent than Pinter should be covered. |
2. | The number of plays per playwright should be reduced. |
3. | The films are not good, but some people made the point that seeing a production is a help. |
4. | The workshops could be better organised. |
5. | Further emphasis should be given to the general nature of modern drama. |
6. | The extra untimetabled hour on Mondays is frustrating for those with other commitments. |
7. | There should be fewer lectures. |
8. | Half of the replies registered satisfaction with the assessment, but the others suggested that 30% per essay is too high. |
9. | As a first half course it should be examined at mid-year. |
10. | Some people would like the course to be a full year one. |
11. | Tighter control by the tutors in tutorials is required. There is no particular criticism of lectures. |
