Kerosine Cowboy Rides Again

Kerosine Cowboy Rides Again

Dear David,

Last weeks Salient saw Malaysian politics on the campus sink to an unprecedented low shit-slinging back-stabbing affair. Not surprising though, with fanatics like Alex Chen and 'a senior student' pissing around. These arseholes know no bounds in their resolves to distort and confuse for their bigoted motive or perverted amusement.

While accusing others of smearing. Alex Chen himself is the one who messed and splattered the most shit. Unfortunately or fortunately, whenever he trys to point an accusing finger on others, the stink from his shit stained hand let fall his fig leaf.

Alex Chen has turned a blind eye to facts, choosing to gloss between lines to make up his 'evidence'. As an outsider. I don't intend to tread onto his 'evidences'. Hopefully, these so called evidences will be duly clarified or confirmed by the individuals or organisations concerned. However, there is one thing evident in his letter. That is, he chose to sneer at others on the insignificance of of their contributions and for not being in the limelight. This clearly reflects how much his tiny mentality is obsessed with self-glory.

In examining or assessing an issue, of prime importance is not who the credit whould go, but rather, whether such involvement would benefit the Malaysian Community here or even the society for that matter.

Let us take some of the issues raised by Alex Chen.

1.Marriage of Convenience : The theory of Marriage of convenience and the associated two years probation, expounded by Frank Gill in 1976, is a blatant unsult to the integrity of overseas students. The fact that only overseas students were singled out connotes streaks of racism in this policy. Any overseas student with a grain of self respect would condemn such an outrageous implication by the Immigration Minister. May I suggest that even that 'one grain of self respect' is lacking with Alex Chen. Today, he wants to rub his hands with glee and insinuates that the statement on Marriage of Convenience, released by some individuals did not appear in any of the (reactionary) local newspapers. He went so far as to riducule the statement as containing an attack on NZ Government pro-apartheid policy (p.s. anti in words but pro in deeds). Here Alex Chen is telling us he is willing to crawl, tail between legs, to the racist Vorster Camp. Perhaps Alex Chen will take my friendly advice to check whether he qualifies for an 'honourable white' membership in South Africa before committing himself too far !
2.

The question of ISC : May I remind Alex Chen that ISC stands for International Student Congress and not a Malaysian Student Congress. The topics discussed were stimulating, educative and wide-ranging but nevertheless the emphasis was on Malaysia (specifically the 45% cutback) for the plain fact that Malaysians form the majority of all overseas students in NZ.

One of the significant results of ISC was the formation of NOSAC (National Overseas Students Action Committee), and today 27 July, saw NOSAC win its first victory at the OSAC meeting down in Bowen Street — where is Alex Chen all the while ? He was definitely too ignorant to attend the ISC and has resorted to hearsays as slandering informations. Far from supporting the interest of the overseas community here, Alex's downright reactionary instigations only helped to reveal his true nature as the black sheep in the community.

3.

Library Cut: Alex again chose to ignore the result and significance of the campaign. He was too obsessed discrediting and smearing how little others have done or what 'lowly' jobs they were 'delegated' to. If Alex Chen misgives himself as a smart arse-hole, let me tell him straight in his face, any block head can sit on his bum gibbering and trotting irresponsible utterance.

Instead of wasting any more of my time and precious Salient Columns, with endless chapters on Alex Chen's inconsistencies, fart inflated political ideology or his 3rd rate shit brewing techinque, I have decided to offer some advice to this poor little problem boy (another victim of society's ills).

1.Never try to be a smart arsehole.
2.Don't make a mockery of your ignorance.
3.Get your facts and figures right before you open your big mouth.
4.Only a fool will lift a stone to drop it on his feet.
5.Don't knock your egg head against a stone wall — remember the [unclear: irrversible] historical trend is Truth and Justice'

(PS. Alex should be grateful as this is one of my very rare occasions of overflowing generosity to offer advice.)
