Salient Notes

After a lengthy period of absence from the "in scene" at VUW, David Murray has been reinstated to all his previously held positions. The street celebrations, however, have been postponed due to an unfavourable political climate. All this could not have been possible if not for the nurses of Ward 10, Hutt Hospital and brandy. And how about the rest of Salient Socialist Party I hear you cry ? The body of Gyles Beckford was found leaning over the light-table in the laying-out position. Vice-Premiers Rose Collins, Lamorna Rogers, Sue Cairney and Simon Wilson, tireless in criticism and sell criticism, at once rejected the old ideas of collectives and anarcho-[unclear: synrcanst] communes and seeing that history moves in stages, grasped the necessity of the dictatorship of the editor. Ready to smash the gang of four if they committed left deviations were Rire Scotney, Andrew Dungan, Patrick O'Dea Chris Norman and Lynette Shum. Humble, but ready to engage in political and ideological if the need arose were the workers Lynette Shum, Wendy Bachler, Rod James, Dave Merritt. Dave Macpherson and the masses who are too numerous to name. The trend on Salient today is toward progress and enlightenment and opposes the counter-revolutionary trends of reaction, despair and darkness. And just remember folks — it's the trends that count.
