In Summary.

It is clearly evident that most library users disapproved of the cuts and indeed the very idea of library restrictions. The library is the academic hub of the University and in the interests of staff and students alike, must not be subject to such cutbacks as have taken place.

As a result of library users' opposition, student representatives will move at the next Library Committee meeting, that in view of the minimal savings from cutbacks in library hours:

1.	That the library be reopened on Friday nights a week prior to and during All examinations.
2.	That the library hours be extended on Sundays to the following 1p.m. - 11p.m. inclusive.
3.	That the library remain open till 11p.m. on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays during the August vacations.
