The Exercycle

The Exercycle.

What's the use of an exercycle?

For the person who can't abide running, swimming or circuit training and really does want to get him/herself in a better physical frame of physical! Not to mention on rainy days. If you take part in some sort of physical activity ¾ times per week stimulates your heart and lungs to work a little harder for 10-15 minutes then there will be over a period of time a cumulative improvement in the efficiency of the heart-lung system i.e. fitness. Activities such as squash, rugby, netball are not guaranteed to do this as there is an element of stop-start to them. The exercycle can provide a valid form of easy training at an easily controlled level. You have control of the machine and as a result need never work at a level above the one which you choose. So if you want to know more and give the machine a try (and we have three secreted in various private places around the Gym) then come and have a chat with Hugh or Diana.

An added bonus is the active-study system. You read a book and pedal for whatever period you are training for. As a result swot becomes sweat.
