'Bonnie and Clyde'

Based on the real lives of Clyde Barrow and Bonnie Parker, notorious, bank robbers and killers of the great depression of the thirties in Texas and Oaklahoma.

Clyde is an extremely mean gun foundler and Bonnie is a squirming, thrill-seeking, sex-starved moll.

The NY Times describe the film as "... a cheap piece of bald-faced slapstick comedy that treats the hideous depredations of that sleazy moronic pain as though they were as full of fun and frolic as the jazz age cut ups in Thoroughly Modern Millie".

Not many critics were in the least bit impressed with this film which displays the glorification of some of the worst violence seen on the screen.

Not only that but this comedy film treats the grim reality of what really happened as a big joke.

This film has absolutely no social value at all, no matter what rationalisations Arthur Penn spouts.

But if it is a spectacle you want to SEE.......
