Trade and Industry Minister Datuk Hamzah bin Abu Samah said that he had very useful and informative discussions with Malaysian students in various cities, during his 18—day tour of the two countries. He said that after his explanations the students appreciated the Government's stand and that he also managed to convince the students that the Government arrested a Malaysian student who formerly studied in Australia because of his connections with the communists.
