Sense and Nonsense

Sense and Nonsense

Dear Sir,

I agree with David Tripe on French nuclear tests. I support the reasons for the French Tests. Unless France has a nuclear deterrent we could need Compulsory Military Training to prepare to stop a USA attempt at a European take-over. Kirk and Metcalfe should send their ships to S.E. Asia, China Russia as well as France. But they haven't got the guts. They are just Yank lovers.

I should like to comment on some of the letters you have published, which to me are so full of incorrect statements as to make them look foolish. The language used by Hugh Buchanan is more suitable for lavatory walls or perhaps his own home. I agree with his statement that Salient is getting low. He Is certainly doing his best to make to lower. Bird brains of his type should be working for a living instead of living on the taxpayers. I'm not a taxpayer but feel sorry for those who have to carry this rubbish into print.
