Car Drivers!

Save Money: Save Driving Hassles Stop Pollution

A University Car Pool has been set up by Ecology Action. Their definition of a car pool is a system whereby car commuters can get together, and ride three or four to a car, instead of the usual wasteful one. This means that each driver takes turns in bringing his car to university, after having been co-ordinated with say two or three others who bring cars in at the same time, from the same area. There are a multitude of benefits to those who participate. Some of these are:
  • cheaper shared costs,
  • less wear and tear on individual cars, a decrease in parking problems (with fewer cars),
  • a chance to meet new people,
  • less congestion and pollution.
