Two concerts will be held within the week which promise to be worth supporting.

The Victoria University Folk Club demonstrates its talent for the last time this year on Friday at 7.45 in the Memorial Theatre.

Main artist will be Pitt Ramsay, acknowledged as the best guitarist in the country in the folk idiom.

The Windy City Struggles, Steve Robinson, Richard Doctors and the Ward Island Soya Bean Pickers will be among the entertainers.

On Tuesday and Thursday next in the Memorial Theatre a strange collection will demonstrate their remarkably individual talents under the aegis of the Music Society.

Blues, folk, jazz and other "assorted goodies" will be performed by the Original Sin, the Acme Sausage Company and others while Peter J. Needham as your friendly neighbourhood wizard will vie with Sam Hunt for the title of Mr Eccentric.

Correction: Last week the name of the Auckland painter Milan Mrkusich was incorrectly spelt in the art review. We apologise to the author and Mr Mrkusich for this error.
