Victoria's men's team has had a fairly successful season in Wellington this year, winning the 'C' grade championships.

Tournament chances look to be quite promising this year.

Stewart Perry, a NZU representative, and Chris Ricket who were in the team which gained second place last year are both available again.

In addition the men's team has been strengthened by the inclusion of fresher Paul Devoy who achieved national rankings while a Junior.

The women's team comprises Juliet Broad, Lynda Oliver and Virginia Patrick.

Strongest opposition is expected to come from Auckland with Otago also expected to be a force [unclear: t] he reckoned with.
