"Sir Walter Nash was, by his own admission, forbidden to speak at both the Auckland and Hamilton Town Halls during the 1951 lockout," said Mr Con Bollinger at the Socialist Club meeting on Wednesday.

Mr Bollinger said Sir Walter had admitted to him two months before he died that he had accepted an alternative venue in Auckland after to speak.
