Bursary Rise Rejected

A motion by Lincoln and Massey Universities that NZUSA should refrain from seeking an increase in bursaries in 1968 was lost at Easier Council.

A motion requesting full documentation of the case for increased bursaries, to be presented at August Council this year, was carried.

The Council feels that a case should be documented, even if it was not presented to the authorities this year.

The economic situation was the main reason for NZUSA's caution on this matter.
