Current yachting champions, Victoria, will again provide tough competition this year.

A long testing, two-lap course will test all yachties. Starting dock is at Pt. Jerningham.

Victoria strength will lie with John Pettier and Tony Burn. Pether is the current New Zealand champion in the moth class and Burn is last, year's tournament champion in the same class. It seems likely that when tournament team is selected Burn will get the moth berth again and Pether's talents will be used in skippering the Cherub crew.
