More study seats

A Recent Report that a considerable number of seats in the University Library are being used by nonstudents is incorrect, said the Librarian, Mr. J. Sage, in a recent interview.

The people mistaken for non-students are probably Training College students who are also enrolled at the university, he said.

The only people causing any seating problem in the Library at present are those who leave books to reserve places. These books will now be removed by Library staff, and can be collected from the shelves labelled for the purpose.

A further 100-odd seats will soon be installed in the Library, bringing the total to somewhere between 900 and 1000. However, these may not arrive in time for use this year.
