NZSPA Reporter

Dunedin—Capping controller Max Taylor is disturbed about allegations made in Truth that Procesh collection tins are missing.

The Students Association was approached by a Truth reporter, who alleged misappropriation of collection funds. The reporter said that he had reports from students that money from the Procesh collection had been spent on beer.

Mr. Taylor said that he had told the reporter where the money from Procesh went. Beer consumed on collection day was donated by breweries.

"I would like Truth to produce these three students and in particular the public-minded individual who saw fit to approach Truth rather than the police, the executive, or capping committee," he said.

"The executive would have taken strong action if it had received any information concerning such claims."

Mr. Taylor also said that he had been extensively quoted out of context in the Truth article.
