Computer course

First New Zealand Course in computer science will be run this year by Dr. R. B. Payne, of this university. Dr. Payne senior lecturer in computing mathematics will use the university's Elliott 503 computer to teach about 30 students, mostly graduates some computer techniques. The course is regarded as experimental but if successful will be developed widely.
