Travellers to Christchurch for Easter Tournament will no doubt query this as they board their Viscount at 5.10am on Good Friday. Due to a lapse of memory on the part of Sports Committee Chairman, Tony Massed, no places were booked in time on the inter-island ferries.

With a fare of £3/18/7 no one is going to be wealthier, and it is possible the normally sharp wits of Victoria NZUSA delegates will be a trifle dulled; but on the credit side, all-night drinking on the boat will fee avoided and the sports team may acquit themselves a little more nobly. Of course, some people may just not go to bed at all...
