Inhabitants of this glorious, and possibly last, century have wish relish changed the values of our world. Nothing is sacred, everything must be modern. Everything must be interpreted in the light of the twentieth century. Even fairy tales must be brought up-to-date. This is becoming a very fashionable past-time; the more so since Sir Osbert Sitwell published his version of a number of old favourites.
