Elizabeth Beck
Possibly the outstanding candidate for the Women's Committee, Elizabeth Beck has, in the short space of three years, played an extremely energetic part in extracurricular activities around and about the University. A third-year student pursuing an arts degree, she has taken a leading part in Extravaganza over the last three years, and has represented the University in swimming, and hockey at Easter and Winter Tournaments in 1957 and 1958, and has sat on various club and student union committees. She is also well known as the University's own Elsa Maxwell, having organised some of the most fabulous parties ever seen and heard in and about Wellington.
1. | Improved "town" and "gown" relationships. |
2. | New, improved social life at Victoria so that students can discuss their mutual interests in more convivial surroundings than the cafe or common room. |
3. | To elevate Victoria's prestige, not only to the Citizens of Wellington, but also among the students of the other Universities throughout the country. |
And Remember—A Vote for Elizabeth is a Vote.
