Peter O'Brien is a third-year part-time law student, after having been a full-timer for two years. Since entering V.U.W. in 1956 he has taken a keen interest in student affairs, and is at present a member of Executive, the Debating Society, and the Athletic Club. He has been a committee member of the Athletic Club in the seasons '56-'57, '57-'58 and represented Victoria in Harriers at Winter Tournament in 1957. Since his co-option to Executive, he has been Orientation Week Controller, Capping Ball Controller, and Social Controller for Extrav. In March of this year he was appointed Secretary of N.Z.U. Sports Union (the controlling body of all N.Z.U. sport other than Rugby). Although a part-timer, he is around University whenever possible and is ready to listen at any time to any Practical suggestions put forward by anybody.

|2.||A greater interest in our public relations work with the City of Wellington.|
|3.||Some form of bursary for 2nd year students who have obtained units in their first year and are not eligible for the Higher School Certificate Bursary.|
|4.||An extension of N.Z.U.S.A.'s activities in Asia in general, and South-east Asia in particular.|
