Salient Ball

Owing mainly to inadequate publicity and having to compete with a Training College dance the same evening, the Salient Ball on Friday March 23 failed to emulate the outstanding success of the Freshers' Ball two weeks previously. A small financial loss is anticipated. The question of whether another Salient Ball will be held later in the year will be discussed by the Editorial Committee at its next meeting a week after Easter.

Outstanding feature of the ball was the set of murals painted especially by Sylvienne Cockburn. They will remain on view in Salient Room until the end of the first term.
