Golf

The following team will represent Victoria on the Otago Golf Club's Balmacewan links: B. R. Boon, H. R. Carver, D. V. Barry, B. J. Bennett.

Boon and Carver were members of the VUC team which won the golf last year and thereby contributed 6 points to Victoria's overall success. The team this year is as strong: and, on paper, should contribute some points.

Barry Boon: Well known veteran of Varsity Tournaments, Barry is known in Wellington golfing circles as a reliable and experienced player. On a handicap of 3 he may be expected to score well.

Pete Carver: Last year's NZU champion, now on 4, should again perform well. He has been playing regularly at weekends and has also competed with some success in several local tournaments.

Dave Barry: An aggressive player from Manor Park on an 8 handicap; if on form should be a decided asset.

Brian Bennett: On a 10 handicap, takes his golf seriously and is a consistent performer.

In addition to the above team a South to play in the NZU championships.
