Walter Iles

A Third-Year Law student and ex-resident of Weir House, is a member of the Men's Committee of the outgoing Executive, having been co-opted early this year. He has been Secretary of the Defence Rifle Club and President of the Miniature Rifle Club for the last two years and has represented V.U.C. in shooting at the last three N.Z.U. Tournaments, being awarded a College Blue in shooting last year. He was an observer at the last N-Z.U.S.A-Council meeting and he has been appointed Shooting Controller for the next N.Z.U. Winter Tournament in August. He has also played regularly for the Rugby Football Club and was Social Controller of Extravaganza 54.

If elected, he would support in the main the continuation of the present sound administrative policy, but would like to see a more concrete approach to some matters such as improved amenities within the College and a closer liaison with the clubs.
