A Third Year commerce student Dick was co-opted to the Executive in September of last year and we feel that his surplus energy could well be used just behind the President in the new Executive.

A finance committee member "since his co-option, a committee member of the Commerce Faculty Club and an Executive member of the Wellington Accountants Students' Society, Dick's more serious interests are concerned with finance, his latest effort being the control of the finance for Extravaganza '54.

Treasurer of the Athletic Club for the past two years Dick is a keen athlete and harrier. He is Club Captain of the Harrier Club this year and holds a College Blue for the sport.

Policy:—
1.Action on: Students' Union Building, Bursaries, Student Health.
2.Better organisation of Capping activities; bigger sales, greater profit; improved relations with the Wellington public.

A Fourth Year Law-Arts student, now part time after two years full-time. Was a nomination for co-option to Exec, earlier this year.

Plays cricket and hockey (2nd grade; Winter Tournament 1952); also tennis. Club interests: Drama ("Sycamore Tree," "Cockpit", and others); Debating (Vice-Pres. '53, present Secretary); Law. Fac. (Committee, Easter Tournament Moot, 1954). Extrav., '53 (Publicity), '54 (Opera); "Salient" 1952; Weir House Social and Discussions Committees.

Policy:—
1.No political [unclear: prejudices] in Exec, affairs.
2.A better supply of Information on Exec. affairs, and more opportunity for All, especially freshers, to participate.
3.An immediate investigation into Club needs, especially sporting equipment.
4.Get the Student Union Building started.
5.Support for "Spike." "Salient" Literary Issue, and the text book scheme; for regular social functions in the Gym: for the Ski Club Hut.
6.Lockers for men's Common Room.
7.Above all: to hold our hard-won good relations with the City, Without curtailing any Capping Activities which We consider Reasonable.
