Salient. An Organ of Student Opinion at Victoria College, Wellington, N.Z. Vol. 14, No. 13. October 4, 1951

The Exec. Sleeps Still Salient Never

The Exec. Sleeps Still Salient Never

It has been the experience of he who writes this column that the Executive reads Salient but takes no notice. Unless one cares to tackle a member and request him to call various members to the attention of the Executive no one will think on his own initiative to bring Salient to the meeting and go through it anyway. Therefore it can safely be assumed that nothing has been done—nothing effective that is—about the towels, the common common room and the notice board.

As this is the last issue we shall have to "lay off" for a while. But we must mention the Library where cards are no longer necessary. The Executive could well do something here and since they are students if should not be necessary for Salient to suggest what is necessary.

The problem of the Biology Block door remains unsolved.

We do not really expect an answer from the President on the subject of a criticism of the staff, but he must know that we asked the question. At a later date the members of the Executive may think to put their reading to use instead of relegating Salient comment to "General Business." Then who knows Salient may even put forward a ticket at the elections—The Members who Got Salient's Suggestions Done.

Done. What a lovely word.
