Vic Needs a Song

Vic Needs a Song

The Executive are sponsoring a song writing competition. An ultra vires action? No hardly that—just the conviction that Gaudeamus is too solemn and unfamiliar end Wikitoria too—shall we say doggerellish?—to be useful. We want a pood College song.

Prizes: £10 to the winning composer or composers—or £5 between the music writers and £5 between the lyric writers.

Conditions: Upon application to the Executive Room.

Eligibility: Past and present members of the Students' Association.

Judging will be the task of six persons and the three so far chosen are: Mr. E. K. Braybrooke. Mr. D. Lilburn and Mr. John Carrad.

Remember it has to be singable by a crowd (not [unclear: po] high or too low).

For those who never learnt or cannot remember ultra vires means outside the powers.
