Salient. An Organ of Student Opinion at Victoria College, Wellington, N.Z. Vol. 10, No. 6. May 28, 1947
[Untitled verse by H.]
In the Universities
We study "sociologies."
You'll vote the term is plural
As there's now a branch, the "rural."
But it's becoming ever clearer
That it's bringing us no nearer
To a knowledge of the facts
Of how and why a cocky acts.
All its verbiose complexity
Is just long-haired prolixity.
So pardon our temerity
For holding with sincerity
That more knowledge and less harm
Is found in "Cold Comfort Farm."
