Mr. O'Flynn had two important points to put forward. One was his distrust for American Foreign Policy, a distrust founded on the U.S.A. attitude to China, Iran and Palestine; the other was a belief that America, in bolstering a reactionary government, is inviting opposition from all progressive countries.
Mrs. Matthews, the only woman speaker, ably amplified Mr. Collins' points about the similarity of German and American military expression. Her conviction and sincerity had a quietening effect on the audience.
Mr. Winchester showed how Greece is only part of America's policy of encircling the Soviet Union, a peace-loving country whose furthest base is 600 miles from its frontier.
