Something that Concerns you all

Something that Concerns you all

The Editor, "Salient."

Dear Sir,

The Professorial Board has now lifted its ban upon the discussion and debate of subjects pertaining to sex and religion subject to the following conditions:—
(1)That subjects for discussion or debate receive the prior approval of the Executive of the Students Association.
(2)That the Executive of the Students Association shall control the admission of those not members of the College and that except in the case of approved Visitors Debates and Inter-University and Inter-College Debates debates and discussions shall not be advertised outside the College nor shall they be reported in the commercial press.
(3)That the chairman at any discussion or debate confine the speakers to the subject and generally maintain an atmosphere in accord with University traditions.

I avail myself of your columns as the best mode of your columns as the best mode of drawing the attention of the student body to the decision which has been made by the Professorial Board.

R. W. Edgley

President, V.U.C.S.A.
