Nineteenth Century New Zealand Artists: A Guide & Handbook
MONKHOUSE, Warwick
MONKHOUSE, Warwick
Arrived Auckland from London with T. S. Monkhouse on 28 June 1863: probably lived with him in Rodney County. Exhibited water-colours of Omaha and Pakari and scenes of bush life in the shop of Upton, bookseller in Auckland in November 1865: this work was obviously not the first to have been shown. Represented: National Museum (a view of Fujiama, Japan).
