JACKSON, “Bashie” née Woodward, Margaret 1876–1972
Born Mangere near Auckland, daughter of a school teacher; studied art at Elam School of Art, Auckland. 1904 married John Hughlings Jackson, barrister. Painted mainly watercolours, often flowers, and etched. For many years spent holidays on Motu Arohia in the Bay of Islands, and her watercolours of the island before it was planted in trees have an historical interest. She died in Auckland. Exhibited with ASA 1897–1904 as B. Woodward, after 1904 as B. Jackson.
