BLOMFIELD, John Collis 1878–1942

Born in Thames, son of Samuel Blomfield, nephew of artist Charles page 46 Blomfield, brother of William Blomfield, cartoonist. Worked for several New Zealand newspapers: from 1911 was engaged in advertising work, occasionally drawing cartoons for New Zealand Observer. Died in Takapuna. Work included in Centennial Ex. Represented in Turnbull.
