Reports of the Native Affairs Committee, 1905.

[Nos. 521 and 593, 1905.—Petitions of Rora Korako, and Hori Kerei Paipai and Another.]

Nos. 521 and 593, 1905.—Petitions of Rora Korako, and Hori Kerei Paipai and Another.

Petitioners pray that the money due from the sale of the land for a rifle range near Wanganui may be paid direct to them and not through the Public Trustee.

I am directed to report that the Committee recommends that these petitions should be referred to the Government for favourable consideration and, if necessary, legislation should be introduced to give effect to the prayer of the petitioners.
