Reports of the Native Affairs Committee, 1905.

[No. 217, 1904.—Petition of Otene Paora and 15 Others.]

No. 217, 1904.—Petition of Otene Paora and 15 Others.

Petitioners pray that the law may be so amended as to allow an extended period, up to ninety-nine years, for leasing lands in the Orakei Block.

I am directed to report that, as this refers to a question of policy, the Committee has no recommendation to make, but is of opinion the petition should be referred to the Government.

[Translation.]
No. 217, 1904.—Pitihana a Otene Paora ratou ko etahi atu tekau ma rima.
