No. 315, 1903.—Petition of Nepia Matenga and 5 Others.

Petitioners pray that a sum of money be granted to improve the road to the Ohaki Pa, where some valuable hot springs are situated, and also that a Court may sit at Taupo to partition the Tahorakura Block in order that the Ohaki portion may be awarded to the rightful owners.

I am directed to report that the Committee recommends that this petition be referred to the Government for favourable consideration.

E inoi ana nga kai-pitihana kia whakaritea he moni hei whakapai i te rori atu ki Ohaki Pa, i te mea kei reira etahi waiariki papai: a ko tetahi me tu he Kooti ki Taupo hei wawahi i Tahorakura Poraka, kia whakataua ai a Ohaki ki nga tangata e tika ana ki taua wahi.

Kua whakahaua ahau kia ki penei, ki te whakaaro o te Komiti me tuku tenei pitihana ki te Kawanatanga kia whiriwhiria paitia.
