No. 222, 1903.—Petition of Taituha Hape, Chairman Mahunui Maori Council, Kaiapoi.

Petitioner prays that the General Conference of Maori Councils be not allowed to make regulations for all the Councils.

I am directed to report that the Committee recommends that this petition should be referred to the Government for consideration.

E inoi ana te kai-pitihana kaua e whakaaetia ma te Huihuinga Nui o nga Kaunihera Maori e hanga nga rekureihana mo nga Kaunihera katoa.

Kua whakahaua ahau kia ki penei, ki te whakaaro o te Komiti me tuku atu tenei pitihana ki te Kawanatanga kia whiriwhiria.
