No. 269, 1902.—Petition of Erueti Tamaikoha and 10 Others.
Petitioners complain that the partition of the Tahora 2a Block, Opotiki district, was improperly carried out at a Court held at Gisborne, in their absence, and through the misrepresentation of an interested party. They pray that the matter may be reinvestigated before a properly qualified tribunal sitting in the district wherein the land is situated.
I am directed to report that the Committee strongly recommends that legislation be passed to enable a reinvestigation to be held as requested.
