No. 72, 1902.—Petition of Nepe Patehau and 40 Others. (No. 1.)

Petitioners pray for inclusion in the certificate of title to the Matamata Block, near Te Aroha. They allege that the persons already in the same are merely there as trustees.

I am directed to report that, as the matter referred to is now before the Native Land Court, the Committee has no recommendation to make.

E inoi ana nga kai-pitihana kia whakaurua ratou ki roto ki te Tiwhikete Taitara o Matata Poraka, e tata ana ki Te Aroha; e ki ana ratou ko nga tangata e noho mai nei i roto i te taitara o taua whenua he kai-tiaki noa iho.

Kua whakahaua ahau kia ki penei, i te mea kei te takoto tenei take i te aroaro o te Kooti Whenua Maori, na reira kaore kau a te Komiti kupu.
