No. 1187, 1901. —Petition of Tipene Matua and 2 Others (No. 1).

Petitioners pray for a rehearing in connection with the Manawaangiangi Block.

I am directed to report that the Committee finds the petitioners appear to have suffered a wrong through the judgment of the Courts, and therefore recommends that an opportunity should be given, by legislation, for a rehearing.

E inoi ana nga kai-pitihana kia whakawakia ano a Manawaangiangi Poraka.

Kua whakahaua ahau kia ki penei, kua kitea e te Komiti mehemea nei kua pa he mate i runga i te whakatau a nga Kooti, na reira ki te whakaaro o te Komiti me whakatuwhera he huarahi, ara, me paahi he ture, kia taea ai te whakawa ano o taua whenua.
