No. 1189, 1901. —Petition of Te Haenga Paretipua.
Petitioner alleges that the Bank of New Zealand has wrongfully taken possession of the eastern portion of the Matuku Block, and prays for redress.
I am directed to report that the Committee recommends that this petition should be referred to the Government for special inquiry at the earliest possible date.

E ki ana te kai-pitihana kua tangohia hetia e te Peeke o Niu Tireni te pito whaka-te-rawhiti o Matuku Poraka, a e inoi ana kia whakaorangia tona mate.
Kua whakahaua ahau kia ki penei, ki whakaaro o te Komiti me tuku atu tenei pitihana ki te Kawanatanga kia tino uiuia a tetahi wa tata e taea ana.
