No. 289, 1902. —Petition of Eparaima M. Kapa and 79 Others.

Petitioners complain that their tribe (Te Aupouri) is not represented in any Council appointed under "The Maori Lands Administration Act, 1900," or "The Maori Councils Act, 1900," and they pray that they may have separate districts appointed under the Acts mentioned.

I am directed to report that the Committee recommends that this petition should be referred to the Government.

Kua whakahaua ahau kia ki penei, ki te whakaaro o te Komiti me tuku tenei pitihana ki te Kawanatanga.
