No. 1195, 1901. —Petition of Hemirua Paeara and Others.
Petitioners pray for investigation into the right of certain Pakehas to cut timber on the Pakorau (part of Te Whakapaku) Block, and that the land may be vested in the rightful owners.
I am directed to report that the Committee has no recommendation to make with regard to this petition.

E inoi ana nga kai-pitihana kia uiuia te tika o etahi Pakeha ki te mahi i nga rakau o Pakorau (he wahi no Te Whakapaku) Poraka, a kia whakataua te whenua ki nga tangata tika.
Kua whakahaua ahau kia ki ponei, kaore kau a te Komiti kupu mo runga i tenei pitihana.
