Reports of the Native Affairs Committee, 1901.

[No. 193, 1900.—Petition of Ngakaho te Ahuru and 3 Others.]

No. 193, 1900.—Petition of Ngakaho te Ahuru and 3 Others.

Petitioners pray for a rehearing in connection with the succession to the interests of Hakiriwhi te Purewa (deceased) in Maungatautari and other blocks.

I am directed to report that, as the Committee finds, from inquiries made, that the statements of the petitioners as to the proceedings of that Native Appellate Court are substantially correct, it is recommended that the petition be referred to the Government for favourable consideration.
