No. 239, 1898.—Petition of Irimina Tutua Hapuku and 36 Others.

Petitioners allege that the Whatuma Lake, near Waipukurau, was not included in the sale of the adjacent land, and pray that the title to the same may be vested in them.

I am directed to report that the Committee has no recommendation to make with regard to this petition.

Translation. No. 239, 1898.—Pitihana a Irimina Tutua Hapuku me etahi atu e toru tekau ma ono.

E ki ana nga kai-pitihana kaore te roto o Whatuma, e tata ana ki Waipukurau, i uru ki te hoko o nga whenua, e piri ana ki taua roto, a e inoi ana me tau ki a ratou te taitara o taua roto.

Kua whakahaua ahau kia ki penei, kaore kau he kupu a te Komiti mo runga i tenei pitihana.
