Petitioners allege that portions of the Maungatautari Block have been wrongfully taken from them, and pray for restitution.
I am directed to report that the Committee recommend that this petition be referred to the Government for inquiry.

No. 114, 1898.—Pitihana a Iriwhata me etahi atu tokotoru.
E ki ana nga kai-pitihana kua tangohia hetia etahi wahi o Maungatautari Poraka i a ratou, a e inoi ana kia whakahokia atu aua wahi ki a ratou.
Kua whakahaua ahau kia ki penei, ki te whakaaro o te Komiti me tuku atu tenei pitihana ki te Kawanatanga kia uiuia.
