No. 271, 1898.—Petition of Pitiera Wainohu and 38 Others.

Petitioners pray that the Court which hears the appeals in regard to their lands (Waipapa, Mohaka No. 1, &c.) may be held at Mohaka.

I am directed to report that the Committee recommends that this petition should be referred to the Government, with a request that the prayer of the petitioners be granted.

No. 271, 1898.—Pitihana a Pitiera Wainohu me etahi atu e toru tekau ma waru.

E inoi ana nga kai-pitihana kia tu ki Mohaka te Kooti mana e whakawa nga piira mo o ratou whenua, ara, mo Waipapa, Mohaka No. 1, me etahi atu whenua.

Kua whakahaua ahau kia ki penei, ki te whakaaro o te Komiti me tuku atu tenei pitihana ki te Kawanatanga, me te ki atu me whakaae te inoi a nga kai-pitihana.
