No. 246, 1897.—Petition of Toke Reko Gourlay, of Tuturau, Mataura.

Petitioner prays for rehearing in connection with a reserve of 285 acres in Tuturau district, Southland, which she alleges was made for the Reko family only, and into which certain persons have been wrongfully admitted.

I am directed to report that the Committee has no recommendation to make with regard to this petition.

E inoi ana te kai-pitihana kia whakawakia tuaruatia tetahi whenua rahui, e 285 nga eka, kei te takiwa o Tuturau, Murihiku, e ki ana hoki ia i rahuitia taua wahi mo te whauau anake a Reko, a kua whakaurua hetia etahi tangata ki roto ki taua whenua.

Kua whakahaua ahau kia ki penei, kaore kau a te Komiti kupu mo runga i tenei pitihana.
