No. 52.—Petition of Matutaera Hatua and Others.

Petitioners pray that inquiry may be made into the ownership of the Omataroa Block, and that certain persons may be excluded therefrom, or be allotted only that quantity of the land which the rightful owners agreed to give them at the first hearing.

I am directed to report that the Committee recommends that this petition be referred to the Government for inquiry.
